Water Level Sensor
WATER LEVEL DETECTION PRINCIPLE: Detects the presence and depth of water using exposed conductive traces on the sensor surface. When water touches the sensing area, it changes the resistance between the traces, allowing the sensor to convert the water level into an electrical signal.
OPERATING VOLTAGE: Operates with a DC 3V to 5V power supply, making it compatible with microcontroller platforms.
WORKING CURRENT: Consumes less than 20 mA, ensuring low power operation suitable for embedded and battery-powered applications.
INTERFACE DESIGN: Uses a 3-pin interface (S, +, −) where S is the signal output, + is the power supply, and − is the ground connection.
OUTPUT SIGNAL: Provides an analog output signal that varies depending on the amount of water detected on the sensing surface.
DETECTION AREA: Includes a sensing region of approximately 40 mm × 16 mm which converts water contact directly into measurable analog signals.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Designed to operate in temperatures between 10°C and 30°C with humidity levels from 10% to 90% (non-condensing).
MODULE DIMENSIONS: Approximately 65 mm × 20 mm × 8 mm, providing a compact design suitable for small electronic systems.
APPLICATION SCOPE: Commonly used in water tank monitoring, irrigation systems, sump pit monitoring, rainfall detection, leak detection, industrial water level control, and smart home automation systems.
