Tilt Sensor
TILT DETECTION PRINCIPLE: Uses a ball-rolling type tilt switch sensor (SW-460D or SW-520D) that detects orientation changes of an object. When the module tilts beyond a certain angle, the internal metal ball moves and changes the electrical contact, producing a digital signal.
OPERATING VOLTAGE: Functions efficiently with a 3.3V to 5V DC power supply, making it compatible with common microcontrollers and embedded systems.
COMPARATOR CIRCUIT: Integrated with a wide-voltage LM393 comparator IC that provides a clean signal with stable waveform and strong driving capability greater than 15 mA.
INTERFACE DESIGN: Features a 3-pin configuration (VCC, GND, DO) allowing simple connection with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other development boards.
OUTPUT SIGNAL: Provides a digital switching output (0 or 1) depending on the tilt position of the sensor.
SENSOR TYPE: Uses a ball-rolling tilt sensor instead of mercury, ensuring safer and environmentally friendly operation.
INDICATOR LEDs: Includes power and status indicator LEDs that visually display module power and tilt detection activity.
MOUNTING DESIGN: Designed with an M3 mounting hole on the PCB for easy and secure installation on different surfaces or devices.
MODULE DIMENSIONS: Compact module measuring approximately 3 × 2 × 1 cm, suitable for embedded and compact electronic systems.
APPLICATION SCOPE: Commonly used in vibration and motion-activated devices, platform stability monitoring, tilt detection systems, safety shut-off mechanisms, and testing or detection equipment.
