WORKING PRINCIPLE: The MG995 High-Speed Servo Motor (360 Degree) operates as a servo-based electromechanical actuator that converts PWM signals into continuous rotational motion. When a PWM signal is applied, the internal control circuit interprets the pulse width to determine the direction and speed of rotation. A 1.5 ms pulse typically represents a neutral (stop) position, while longer pulses cause rotation in one direction and shorter pulses cause rotation in the opposite direction. Unlike standard positional servos, this model provides continuous 360° rotation with controlled speed rather than fixed-angle positioning, while maintaining high torque and stable performance through its internal feedback and gear mechanism.

MODULE STRUCTURE: The servo consists of a DC motor, a gear train, a control circuit, and a feedback system housed in a durable casing. It uses metal-reinforced internal components to support high torque and continuous operation. The module includes a 3-wire JR-type connector compatible with standard RC systems, along with servo horns (one-point, two-point, and four-point) and mounting screws for mechanical integration. The robust structure and thicker wiring ensure reliability under load and consistent electrical performance.

PIN CONFIGURATION: The servo has three wires: Red – Connect to the positive terminal of the power supply, Brown – Connect to ground (negative terminal), Orange – Connect to the PWM signal from a microcontroller or servo controller

INTERFACE CONNECTION: The MG995 operates within a voltage range of 4.8V to 7.2V DC. It is commonly interfaced with microcontrollers such as Arduino using PWM signals. It does not require an external motor driver, as it includes an internal control circuit for interpreting input signals and regulating motor operation.

OUTPUT FUNCTION: The servo provides continuous 360° rotation with speed and direction controlled via PWM signals. It delivers high torque, approximately 9.4 kg-cm at 4.8V and up to 11 kg-cm at 6V, making it suitable for applications requiring strong load handling, continuous motion, and stable performance under varying conditions.

OPERATING VOLTAGE: 4.8V – 7.2V DC

SIGNAL CONDITIONING: The servo is controlled using PWM signals where pulse width determines rotation behavior. A neutral pulse (around 1.5 ms) stops the motor, while variations above or below this value control forward and reverse rotation. The internal circuitry processes these signals quickly, ensuring responsive and stable operation with constant torque across the rotation range.
