DC Gear Motor (150 RPM)

WORKING PRINCIPLE: The 150 RPM 12V DC Geared Motor is a simple DC motor integrated with a gear reduction system that converts electrical energy into controlled rotational mechanical motion. When DC voltage is applied, current flows through the motor windings, generating a magnetic field that causes the rotor to rotate. The attached metal gearbox reduces the motor’s high internal speed to an output of approximately 150 RPM while increasing torque. The sealed gearbox, lubricated with lithium grease, ensures smooth, maintenance-free operation with minimal wear and friction.
MODULE STRUCTURE: The motor consists of a standard DC motor coupled with a robust gearbox containing metal gears for enhanced durability and performance. The gearbox is centrally aligned, with the shaft extending through the center, forming a center shaft DC geared motor. The shaft includes an internal threaded hole for easy coupling with wheels or mechanical components. The structure is compact, sturdy, and suitable for robotic and industrial applications.
PIN CONFIGURATION: The motor has two electrical terminals: Positive (+) – Connect to the positive terminal of the DC power supply, Negative (−) – Connect to the ground or negative terminal of the power supply. Reversing the polarity will reverse the direction of rotation.
INTERFACE CONNECTION: The motor operates on a 12V DC supply and can function within a range of approximately 4V to 12V. It is commonly interfaced with motor driver modules such as L298N when used with microcontrollers like Arduino. The driver enables safe operation and provides control over speed and direction.
OUTPUT FUNCTION: The motor provides an output speed of approximately 150 RPM with moderate torque of around 2 kg-cm, making it suitable for applications requiring a balance between speed and load-handling capability.
