Current Sensor
SENSING PRINCIPLE: Operates based on the Hall-effect principle, where the magnetic field generated by current flowing through an internal copper conductor is detected by the Hall sensor and converted into a proportional voltage signal.
SENSOR STRUCTURE: The module integrates a precision Hall-effect IC with a low-resistance copper conduction path, allowing the current to pass through the sensor while the internal circuit measures the magnetic field generated by the current.
PIN CONFIGURATION: VCC (Power supply), GND (Ground), OUT (Analog voltage output).
OUTPUT SIGNAL: Produces an analog voltage output proportional to the measured AC or DC current flowing through the sensor.
OPERATING VOLTAGE: Requires a single 5V DC supply, typically operating within the range of 4.5V to 5.5V.
CURRENT MEASUREMENT RANGE: Capable of measuring current up to approximately ±30A depending on the sensor variant.
SENSITIVITY: Provides an output sensitivity of approximately 66 mV per ampere, enabling accurate current measurement.
ISOLATION CHARACTERISTICS: Offers electrical isolation between the current path and signal pins with a minimum isolation voltage of about 2.1 kVRMS.
MODULE DIMENSIONS: Compact module measuring approximately 3 cm × 2 cm × 1 cm with a lightweight design around 5 grams.
APPLICATION SCOPE: Commonly used in over-current protection circuits, battery chargers, power supply monitoring, energy meters, motor control systems, programmable current sources, and embedded energy monitoring applications.
