BO Motor Straight (200 RPM)
WORKING PRINCIPLE: The 200 RPM Straight Single Shaft BO Motor is a geared DC motor that converts electrical energy into rotational mechanical motion. When a DC voltage is applied to the motor terminals, current flows through the internal windings, producing a magnetic field that causes the rotor to rotate. The gear reduction mechanism reduces the motor’s higher internal speed to a controlled output of approximately 200 RPM while increasing torque. The motor is designed with elastic compliance, allowing it to absorb shock and vibration, and it operates with low friction and minimal or no lubrication.
MODULE STRUCTURE: The motor consists of a compact DC motor integrated with a straight single-shaft gearbox. The gearbox contains multiple reduction gears that regulate the output speed and enhance torque. The outer body is lightweight and typically produced using injection molding, ensuring uniformity and cost efficiency. The motor includes mounting holes for easy installation on robotic frames and mechanical assemblies. The straight shaft is compatible with wheels, couplers, and other attachments used in mobile robotic systems.
PIN CONFIGURATION: The motor has two electrical terminals: Positive (+) – Connect to the positive terminal of the DC power supply, Negative (−) – Connect to the ground or negative terminal of the power supply. Reversing the polarity will reverse the direction of rotation.
INTERFACE CONNECTION: The motor operates using a 3V to 12V DC power source. In robotic and embedded systems, it is typically interfaced through motor driver modules such as L293D or L298N, which allow control via microcontrollers for direction and speed regulation.
OUTPUT FUNCTION: The motor delivers a rated output speed of 200 RPM after gear reduction with moderate torque, making it suitable for applications that require a balance between speed and load handling in compact robotic systems.
OPERATING VOLTAGE: 3V – 12V DC
SIGNAL CONDITIONING: Speed control is achieved using PWM (Pulse Width Modulation), while direction control is implemented using H-bridge motor driver circuits. These methods enable precise control of motor speed and rotation direction in automation and robotic applications.
