BO Motor Straight (100 RPM)
WORKING PRINCIPLE: The 100 RPM Straight Single Shaft BO Motor is a geared DC motor that converts electrical energy into rotational mechanical motion. When a DC voltage is applied to the motor terminals, current flows through the internal windings, generating a magnetic field that causes the rotor to spin. The gear reduction mechanism reduces the motor’s higher internal speed to a controlled output of approximately 100 RPM while increasing torque. The motor is designed with elastic compliance, allowing it to absorb shock and vibration, and it operates efficiently with low friction and minimal or no lubrication.
MODULE STRUCTURE: The motor consists of a compact DC motor integrated with a straight single-shaft gearbox. The gearbox contains multiple reduction gears that regulate the output speed and enhance torque. The outer body is made of lightweight material with mounting holes for easy installation on robotic platforms and mechanical assemblies. The straight output shaft is compatible with wheels, couplers, and other attachments commonly used in mobile robotics and DIY projects.
PIN CONFIGURATION: The motor has two electrical terminals: Positive (+) – Connect to the positive terminal of the DC power supply, Negative (−) – Connect to the ground or negative terminal of the power supply. Reversing the polarity will reverse the direction of rotation.
INTERFACE CONNECTION: The motor operates using a 3V to 12V DC power source. In robotic applications, it is typically interfaced through motor driver modules such as L293D or L298N when controlled using microcontrollers, enabling safe operation and directional control.
OUTPUT FUNCTION: The motor provides 100 RPM rotational speed after gear reduction with high torque, making it suitable for driving robot wheels and other mechanical systems that require balanced speed and strength for smooth operation.
OPERATING VOLTAGE: 3V – 12V DC
SIGNAL CONDITIONING: Motor drivers can be used to control speed using PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signals and direction through H-bridge circuits, allowing precise control of motion in embedded and robotic systems.
