WORKING PRINCIPLE: The BO Motor (L Shape) is a geared DC motor that converts electrical energy into mechanical rotational motion. When DC voltage is applied to the motor terminals, current flows through the internal coil windings, creating a magnetic field. This magnetic interaction causes the rotor to rotate. The motor includes a gear reduction mechanism that reduces the speed while increasing torque, making it suitable for robotics and motion control applications.

MODULE STRUCTURE: The motor consists of a small DC motor connected to a plastic gear reduction system housed in an L-shaped gearbox. The gear assembly reduces the motor’s high rotational speed to a lower output speed while increasing torque. The body is made of lightweight plastic with mounting holes that allow easy attachment to robot chassis and mechanical structures.

PIN CONFIGURATION: The motor has two electrical terminals: Positive (+) – Connects to the positive terminal of the power supply, Negative (−) – Connects to the ground or negative terminal of the power supply, Reversing the polarity of the connections changes the direction of rotation.

INTERFACE CONNECTION: The BO motor can be powered directly from a DC battery supply or controlled through motor driver circuits such as L298N, L293D, or other motor driver modules when used with microcontrollers.

OUTPUT FUNCTION: The motor provides low-speed rotational motion with higher torque, which is ideal for driving robot wheels, mechanical arms, or small mobile platforms.

OPERATING VOLTAGE: 3V – 12V DC

SIGNAL CONDITIONING:  When used in robotics systems, motor drivers or H-bridge circuits are typically used to control the motor’s speed and direction through PWM signals from microcontrollers.

CHARACTERISTICS: Motor Type: Geared DC Motor (BO Motor), Motor Shape: L-Shaped Gearbox Design, Rated Speed (After Reduction): 60 RPM, Rated Torque: 0.8 kg-cm, Shaft Diameter: 5.5 mm, Shaft Length: 8.5 mm, Weight: Approximately 60 g
