BO Motor L Shape (150 RPM)
WORKING PRINCIPLE: The 150 RPM L-Shaped BO Motor is a geared DC motor that converts electrical energy into mechanical rotation. When DC voltage is applied to the motor terminals, the internal armature rotates due to the electromagnetic interaction between the coil windings and the permanent magnets. The integrated gear reduction system lowers the high speed of the motor while increasing torque, providing controlled and stable rotational output suitable for robotic movement.
MODULE STRUCTURE: The motor is built with a compact L-shaped plastic gearbox attached to a small DC motor. The gearbox contains multiple gears that reduce speed and improve torque. The lightweight plastic body includes mounting holes that allow the motor to be easily fixed to robot chassis or mechanical assemblies. The single output shaft is designed for direct attachment of wheels or mechanical couplings.
PIN CONFIGURATION: The motor has two electrical terminals: Positive (+) – Connect to the positive terminal of the power supply, Negative (−) – Connect to the ground or negative terminal of the power supply, Reversing the polarity changes the direction of rotation.
INTERFACE CONNECTION: The motor can be powered using a 3V to 12V DC supply. For robotics applications, it is usually connected through motor driver modules such as L293D or L298N when controlled by microcontrollers.
OUTPUT FUNCTION: The motor delivers 150 RPM rotational speed after gear reduction with sufficient torque for driving wheels and mechanical systems in small robots and automation projects.
OPERATING VOLTAGE: 3V – 12V DC
SIGNAL CONDITIONING: Motor driver circuits are typically used to control speed using PWM signals and direction using H-bridge configurations, allowing precise movement control.
CHARACTERISTICS: Motor Type: BO (Battery Operated) Geared DC Motor, Motor Design: L-Shaped Gearbox, Rated Speed (After Reduction): 150 RPM, Motor Shaft: Single Shaft Output, Color: Yellow, Structure: Lightweight Plastic Body with Mounting Holes
APPLICATION SCOPE: Smart robot cars, obstacle-avoiding robots, two-wheel drive robotic platforms, DIY train models, and small automated mechanisms where moderate speed and reliable torque are required.
